The srs indicator light appears on the dashboard. Light stays on until vehicle is shut off. Dealership is aware of the problem. *mr while the consumer was driving the srs light came on due to a faulty air bag system which needed to be repaired. The consumer wanted the repair cost to be covered by extended warranty, but the dealer denied repair under warranty. *yh

The airbag control unit failed spontaneously (no accident or tampering) in a very well maintained and relatively new vehicle. Failed control unit means the airbag won't deploy when needed.
