My power steering failed twice in one day. While trying to parallel park the engine was running and the power steering shut off and was very difficult to turn. This continued for about 10 minutes then it corrected itself. The same thing happened about 30 minutes later. Each time it was from a stationary position on a city street trying to parallel park. I am lucky that it didn't happen on the highway.
