My power steering unexpectedly failed. I was on the road traveling approximately 30 mph and went to make a turn but could not without significant effort. My vehicle is currently in the repair shop, where they are trying to diagnose a cause. The power steering is electronic, as my vehicle is a hybrid.

Driving on hwy steering began to pull. I attempted to correct when i noted steering was more difficult. I was able to pull off the hwy but found when i stopped i was unable to turn the steering wheel at all. I then called my husband and informed him of my situaton. The dealership says it's the rack and pinion power steering. I only have 19,000 miles on this vehicle
